Oh gracious were these ladies living out REDEMPTION. And what a conviction for me, to see the genuine joy filling that home, and yet I tend to complain so much about my own stresses. I love it when God displays his presence in people, which in turn makes more room for Him in my own heart. I am honored to continue involvement with Kwagala through our own adoption. It's amazing how God weaves our passions and callings together to glorify him in a thousand different ways, all with one purpose: love. Which is what Kwagala means; love.
So back to the fundraiser. As part of a financial support for their ministry the women at Kwagala make this beautiful beaded jewelry from paper (yes that's right, paper!) and coated in resin. I am excited to be selling them to support our adoption. Even with Russia's recent announcement we are fully committed to adopting a child with down syndrome and praying fervantly for God to make a way for Megan. Our homestudy is almost complete and we are charging ahead and trusting God to take care of the details, even if it wasn't exactly what we expected. We know he has a plan for our family and a future for Megan. We pray those things line up, but we will adopt regardless if that door closes or not and continue to pray for love and family for Megan.
